The SCL have, with our partners, HMCTS, spent the last two days hosting over 300 delegates from across the world at the first International Online Courts Forum
The event was kindly hosted by DLA Piper at their new offices and co-chaired by our own President, Professor Richard Susskind and CEO of HMCTS, Susan Acland-Hood.
Day One concentrated on gathering progress reports on projects from around the world, with contributions from Denmark, the US, India and Singapore among them, while Day 2 took a more thematic approach looking at the issues of accessibility, AI, the transformation of legal processes and what to look out for when implementing an online dispute resolution platform.
The keen interest in the development of online courts in the UK was underlined by the active participation of the Lord Chief Justice, the Lord Chancellor, a Supreme Court judge and the Senior President of the Tribunals.
A full report on the Forum will be published in due course but in the meantime you can catch a flavour of the lively, thought-provoking discussions from the day (and find out what our headline is referring to) by skimming through the our Twitter moments from each day and by accessing many of the presentations on the HMCTS website https://t.co/lOy2G8dyOR
