Dominic Cullis, the Easy Convey’s managing director, has been elected Chairman of the LSSA, the body that represents legal systems developers and vendors. Ian Wimbush of Peapod Solutions is to be Vice-Chairman.
Dominic Cullis said: ‘As Chairman, I am looking forward to building on the important work that LSSA has undertaken with alliances with HM Land Registry, The Legal Services Commission, and The Law Society. We must now all work together to raise the profile of LSSA to a new level, and to make sure that we are actually putting our plans and ideas into action. I am very grateful for all of the hard work that our past Chairman Simon Meehan of AlphaLAW and the LSSA sub-committees have done, and I am certainly very excited for the future.’
Cullis plans to further develop the LSSA’s relationship with PISCES, the organisation responsible for the development of open standards for electronic data exchange. Cullis also plans to work closely with the eHomeBuying Forum, the industry body created by the leading companies in the mortgage lending, property searches, conveyancing and legal IT sectors. Easy Convey is a founder member of the eHomeBuying Forum. Through these partnerships, Cullis will ensure that the LSSA continues to work closely with the Land Registry, the Ministry of Justice, and the Department for Communities and Local Government in order to support technology initiatives such as the expansion of e-conveyancing, and also to influence policy development by promoting the ideas, innovation, and experiences of the private sector.
