The Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Commencement No. 4, Transitional and Saving Provisions) Order 2010 (SI 2010/816) has now been published and confirms that s. 173 of the Act (assessment notices) is to be brought fully into force on 6 April 2010.
The commencement order also provides for sch. 20, paras. 5 to 14 to come into force on that date. Those paragraphs provide for further amendments of the Data Protection Act 1998 which are associated with the new assessment notices regime.
