Following a request from the European Commission seeking a clarification of the scope of the definition of data concerning health in relation to lifestyle and wellbeing apps, he Article 29 Working Party has produced criteria to help determine when the data produced by such apps and devices are health data. The criteria form an annex to a letter from the Working Party to Paul Timmers, the Director of Sustainable and Secure Society at DG Connect. The letter can be accessed here.
