According to Paul Young, “Everything Must Change” and with this sage advice and consolation in mind, I have to announce that Priti Magudia, the SCL Finance and Membership Accounts Manager, is leaving SCL in order to take up a new accounting role elsewhere. She will be greatly missed by everyone at SCL but especially by the Trustees, Laurence, Maddie and me.
SCL has been incredibly fortunate to have the benefit of Priti’s enthusiastic support and amazing work ethic over the past 13 years, during which she has been responsible for welcoming new members, maintaining the accounts of existing members, invoicing and bookkeeping – to name just a few of the essential tasks that she has undertaken during her time with the Society. More recently, she has studied for her AAT exams and has become a star pupil at college – which is no surprise to any of us. Priti will graduate next year.
I have shared many happy times with Priti over the years, both personally and professionally. She is a supportive colleague, a great friend and also something of a philosopher. When I was worried about my daughter changing schools she reassured me that “a diamond shines brightly everywhere”, which meant so much to me at the time.
Priti’s huge contribution to SCL over the past 13 years is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. We wish her a bright and shiny future.
Priti will leave SCL on Friday 27 November 2015.
Caroline Gould is the SCL General Manager.
