The remaining five articles that form the IFCLA special issue are now available, ahead of Thursday’s opening of the IFCLA Conference.
Articles from {Chris James on cybersecurity: http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47867}, {Simon Deane-Johns on FinTech: http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47868}, {Catherine Erkelens and Thomas Van Gremberghe on RPAS (aka drones): http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47800}, {John Beardwood and Mark Bowman on the IoT and privacy: http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47866} and {Martin von Haller Groenbaek on blockchain and smart contracts: http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47801} are all now accessible, together with this issue’s {editorial: http://www.scl.org/site.aspx?i=ed47869}. It is a strong finish with two of my favourites among the closing group. There is a bonus track for SCL members who access the epub version.
While the special issue includes some excellent material, is thought-provoking in its own right and makes a brave attempt to reflect some of the various views that will be aired at the IFCLA Conference, it is scarcely comparable to the experience of attending. Last bookings are still being taken but, if you want Professor Richard Susskind, Misha Dohler, Roger Brownsword, Nick Maltby on genomes and many more, you will need to get your skates on.
