2023 was a year which saw rapid and significant technological advance across a wide range of areas, from developments in generative AI, to the metaverse and beyond. In this panel discussion, our speakers will consider the technological developments to come in the year ahead, as well as the associated opportunities and challenges for clients. At the end, attendees will also have the opportunity to put their questions to the panel before networking.

Vik Khurana, Partner, Bristows LLP
Vik specialises in all aspects of commercial technology law, including strategic sourcing, technology-based transactions, software development & licensing, cloud computing, digital strategy, e-commerce, IT/IP aspects of corporate transactions, and other arrangements involving the use or exploitation of IP and technology. In addition, he has a growing practice in emerging disruptive technologies such as Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence, advising both high-growth and established businesses as they develop, deploy and scale new products and services in the market. Vik is a member of the SCL Tech Transactions Group.
Charlotte Clayson, Partner, Trowers & Hamlins LLP
Charlotte is a Partner in Trowers & Hamlins’ Commercial Dispute Resolution and Litigation team and has a keen focus on a range of contentious issues arising from all things data, cyber and tech. Charlotte regularly advises on data breaches, including representations, discussions and notifications to the Information Commissioner’s Office, data subjects and stakeholders. Alongside data related litigation, Charlotte advises clients on preparing for and dealing with the fall out from cyber-attacks, and on risk management strategies arising from data or privacy related issues in new technologies, including in the use of Artificial Intelligence.

Amanda Chaboryk is the Head of Legal Data and Systems within Operate, for PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. Her professional focus has been on legal project management, litigation finance, and technology. She now focuses on leading the operational delivery of complex managed legal programmes and helping clients navigate emerging technologies, such as generative AI.
Lally Wood, Senior Lawyer, Capgemini
Lally is currently a senior lawyer at Capgemini and manages the legal work across manufacturing, aerospace & defence, life sciences, TMT and professional services.
Her practice includes technology transactions across industries and technologies including tech transformations, cloud, customer experience and traditional outsourcing. She also advises on regulatory issues relating to data and cybersecurity.
Lally is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and runs an in-house legal work experience programme targeting students from underrepresented backgrounds.
