Anita Bapat advises a diverse range of clients on all aspects of data protection and privacy compliance. Anita’s practice focusses purely on data protection and privacy matters, advising a diverse range of clients on all aspects of data protection compliance across all sectors and industries. This ranges from GDPR compliance, information governance and marketing rules to ecommerce and data monetisation.
Anita also has significant experience working on data breaches and regulatory investigations as well as advising on freedom of information and interception rules. She has extensive technical knowledge of data protection law from a previous role as a government lawyer.Anita is a Data Protection & Privacy Partner at Deloitte LLP specialising in data protection and privacy law. She advises a broad range of clients on general UK and European data protection compliance across a range of sectors. She has significant experience in HR and customer data issues, international data transfers, privacy impact assessments and management of data breaches.

Nabiel is a trainee solicitor who has experience with advising businesses on b2b contracts, consumer law, data protection, intellectual property, and corporate matters such as M&A. His firm is based in Leeds City Centre and has a notable involvement in the tech industry. As such, Nabiel has been involved with advising tech companies on SaaS contracts, software licensing, e-commerce, and MSA supply agreements. He looks to qualify into commercial contracts. Nabiel has contributed to articles published on SCL, including topics such as raising issues with consumer law in the video games sector. Outside of work, Nabiel has a keen interest in tech gadgets and builds his own gaming PCs from scratch.
