Speaker details:
Rebecca Keating is a barrister at 4 Pump Court with a particular focus on technology disputes and is Co-Chair of the SCL Women in Technology Law group. She has been instructed on a wide range of technology-related disputes from project failures, the use of artificial intelligence, cyber-attacks, cryptoassets to quantum computers. She is Co-Author of “A Practical Guide to Quantum Computing and the Law” (forthcoming) and a contributing author to the Law of Artificial Intelligence (Sweet & Maxwell) and the AI chapter for the Encyclopaedia of IT Law (Thomson Reuters).
Alex Harmer is a Managing Associate within the Digital Business team and is based in the UAE at Simmons & Simmons. Alex is an IP lawyer with significant experience of advising clients on commercial and transactional IP matters. She has acted for clients across a range of IP-rich industries most notably in the life sciences, technology, film, media, brands and consumer product sectors. Prior to becoming a lawyer she studied Experimental Psychology.
Evelina Petraviciute is Vice President Legal at M42 Health. Prior to this role, Evelina held positions such as Senior Legal Counsel at Technology Innovation Institute, Associate at King & Spalding, and Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP. Evelina has a diverse legal background with experience in project finance, energy, transport, infrastructure finance, and legal counsel. Additionally, Evelina has completed various educational programs related to climate change, hydrogen energy, and executive education in AI law.
Lucy Nash is a Senior Associate at Clyde & Co practising in the UAE, acting for both private and commercial clients. Lucy works on a variety of contentious commercial matters, and her main focus is on disputes arising in the technology sector and in particular, in the rapidly developing area of Digital Economy and Virtual Assets. She co-hosts a podcast called Virtually Everything which explores the dynamic world of virtual assets.
Magda Konig is General Counsel at AIQ. Magda has acted for a range of private and public sector clients and has particular experience in the ICT industry. Her current role is with AIQ. AIQ is a disruptive advanced technology pioneer that is leveraging AI to solve complex challenges in the Energy Sector, power digital transformation and accelerate energy transition; forging towards a more sustainable future. She was central to the formation of AIQ, the joint venture between ADNOC and G42.
